The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, emphasized at the UN the importance of providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons and holding Russia accountable.
The best way to stop the Kremlin dictator Putin is to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, on the eve of the high-level meeting of the UN Security Council, which will discuss holding Russia accountable for the invasion of Ukraine.
“The principle of territorial integrity of each member state is extremely important. Therefore, we will use this opportunity to further consolidate peace-loving UN member states… The best way to prevent further Russian atrocities, to stop Putin, is to provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons that will enable us to liberate our territories and save people from murders, torture, rape and other crimes of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine,” he said.
Kuleba also added that a special tribunal should be created to try the aggressor country.
“Regarding the fight against impunity, it would be worthwhile to provide the International Criminal Court with all the opportunities to prosecute those guilty of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of genocide, as well as create a special tribunal to try Russia for the crime of aggression,” the minister believes.
However, according to him, “for legal reasons, the ICC cannot do this, but the crime of aggression should not go unpunished.”
“But I am sure that we will find a way out. We will find a solution… Justice is also a weapon, and it is important that we use it to the full,” the minister said.
We will remind that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba does not plan to meet with the head of the foreign ministry of the occupying country, Serhii Lavrov, at the UN.
