“I will explain to the Russians in Russian what is happening. There were protests against mobilization in the cities of Russia – although not massive, but they were. And there is. And this is an indicator. Not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg. We know the real mood in the regions of Russia. We we see that people in Dagestan, in Buryatia, in other national republics and regions of Russia understand that they were simply thrown. They were thrown to death,” the president said.
Zelensky noted that now the time has come for the Russians to make a choice. For men in Russia, the choice is to die or live, become crippled or stay healthy. For women in Russia, the choice is to lose their husbands, sons, grandchildren forever, or still try to protect them from death and from the war unleashed by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“We know for sure that the agendas for 300,000 people were printed and signed in advance, even before this decision to mobilize appeared. Our intelligence has proven this. But the Russian leadership is preparing to take up to 1 million men into the army – this is the main thing, o what they are silent about now,” Zelensky said.
At the same time, according to him, in the Russian Federation “they will take everyone indiscriminately” – any men, and not just the military in the reserve.
“55,000 Russian soldiers died in this war in six months. Tens of thousands were injured, maimed. Do you want more? No? Then protest. Fight. Run away. Or surrender to Ukrainian captivity. These are options for you to survive,” Zelensky said.
Separately, he addressed Russian mothers: “Those who make decisions in your country take care of their children. And your children are not even buried.
