The Russian Federation is conducting so-called referendums – are Ukrainians protesting?

The so-called referendums began today in the territories of Ukraine captured by Russia. The main issue is the accession to the Russian Federation. What the Kremlin calls voting and expression of will is taking place in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, captured parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. The leaders of the illegal military formation “DNR” controlled by the Russian Federation announced that the so-called voting will take place throughout the territory controlled by the occupying forces.

Currently, there is no reliable information about international observers or independent journalists who could somehow follow the course of this action. Moreover, Moscow-backed administrations in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are holding votes that violate international law and the UN charter, in the midst of Europe’s biggest war in decades.

How do Ukrainians react to this vote and do they oppose it?
