He noted that specialists are completing the exhumation of bodies from the mass burial in Izyum today. A total of 436 bodies were exhumed, most of them showed signs of violent death, and 30 – traces of torture.
“There are bodies with a rope around their necks, with their hands tied, with broken limbs and with gunshot wounds. Several men have their genitals amputated. All this is evidence of the terrible torture that the occupiers subjected the residents of Izyum to. Most of the bodies are civilians, 21 are military.” – Sinegubov wrote.
He noted that about 200 forensic experts, police officers, prosecutors, and employees of the State Emergency Service worked at the site every day.
“Unfortunately, such a mass burial is not the only one in Izyum. At least 3 more such places have been found in this area, and there are burials in other liberated cities of Kharkiv Region,” he wrote.
Survey and demining of the territories are currently underway. Synegubov emphasized that all crimes of the invaders will be documented, and the guilty will pay for what they have done.
It will be recalled that the Ukrainian military liberated Izyum on September 11, after which a mass burial site was discovered in the forest.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine published a photo report showing how a large city in the south of Kharkiv region is returning to peaceful life.
