The team of Luis Enrique decided all the questions about the winner in the first half hour of the game and led group E.
Spain from the first minutes marked their playing advantage and did not allow the opponent anything at all. At the same time, the “Red Fury” did whatever it wanted with Costa Rica and practically did not meet any resistance. Already by the 30th minute the score was 3:0. Olmo scored first after a chic combination, then Asensio scored, and Torres scored the third goal from a penalty kick.
In the second half, the beating of the Costa Ricans continued. It was Torres who scored a double, and he did it in a situation where it seemed that the moment had already been lost. Then the Spanish coaches replaced their leaders, but even without them the team scored three more times. And most importantly, the goals are a feast for the eyes. Morata gave a soft canopy to Gavi, who immediately sent the ball from the post into the goal – 5:0.
At the same time, the players of the Spanish national team did not give the ball to the opponent and constantly went forward. In the 90th minute, Soler took advantage of Navas’s mistake and scored the sixth goal, and already in stoppage time Soler and Morata “drawn” another one and set the final score – 7:0.
The next matches in this group will be of key importance. Germany will meet with Spain, and after the defeat by the Japanese, the Bundesteam has no room for error. Japan, on the other hand, may well secure a way out of the group in the event of a victory over Costa Rica.
