Today, November 24, another exchange of prisoners took place between Ukraine and Russia. Another 50 Ukrainian defenders returned home.
In particular, Ukraine returned 20 National Guardsmen, 12 soldiers from the Naval Forces, 10 soldiers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 6 from the State Border Guard Service and 2 from the Terrodefense.
Yermak reported that two officers and 48 privates and sergeants were among the dismissed.
“It is important that we managed to return 19 defenders of Mariupol, 12 of whom were evacuated from Azovstal, as well as 15 prisoners from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and 7 from Zmiiny Island,” he wrote.
We will remind, yesterday another 35 Ukrainian soldiers and one civilian were released from Russian captivity. Among them were also the defenders of Mariupol and the National Guardsmen who were captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the first days of the invasion.
