Repair work continues where the military has given permission
Energy infrastructure in the front-line areas in the south and east of Ukraine was damaged by shelling over the last day.
In Ukraine, electricity consumption is increasing due to the cold weather. In this connection, the power deficit is also increasing. It is reported Ukrenergo on Wednesday, January 25.
“The production of electricity at operating power plants cannot fully cover consumption… All Oblenergos have proven consumption limits that apply during the day. Exceeding the limits leads to the risk of creating emergency situations in the power system. Therefore, emergency shutdowns are introduced to prevent them,” the message says.
It is indicated that the energy infrastructure in the front-line areas in the south and east was damaged during the last day due to artillery shelling. Repair work continues where the military has given permission.
